After winning 5–0 in the T20 series, the Indian team now played a one-day series against New Zealand. The first of which was played in Hamilton today. Batting first, the Indian team made a big score in the match. Chasing the target, the New Zealand team won the match by 4 wickets.

Indian team made a big score

In the match, the New Zealand team won the toss and decided to bowl first. Prithvi Shaw and Mayank Agarwal started well but they could not make their innings big. Shaw scored 20 and Mayank scored 32 runs. Virat Kohli scored 51 runs.

After which Shreyas Iyer played a brilliant innings of 103 runs off 107 balls. While wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul scored 88 runs in 64 balls. Due to which the Indian team lost 4 wickets in 50 overs and scored 347 runs. For New Zealand, Ish Sodhi took 1 wicket and Tim Southee also took 2 wickets.

Opener Henry Nicholls scored 88 runs and Martin Guptill scored 32 runs. After which veteran player Ross Taylor played an unbeaten 109 runs responsibly.

Acting captain Tom Latham scored an innings of 69 runs off 48 balls. For the Indian team, none other than Jasprit Bumrah impressed. Santner scored 12 runs for New Zealand. However, Kuldeep Yadav took 2 wickets and Shardul Thakur took 1 wicket. Even after that, the New Zealand team won the match by 4 wickets. With this, he also took a 1-0 lead in the ODI series.
