With just over six weeks to go for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the craze among fans has been going strong. And Royal Challengers Bangalore will, as always, continue the hunt for their first title.

The Royal Challengers have struggled to strike the right team combination for years. They have reached the finals of the competition three times but failed to cross the line each time.

RCB finished last in the 2019 points table, managing just five wins from 14 league games, and will be desperate to improve their performance this time.

Management has reinstated the support staff, with former New Zealand head coach Mike Hewson as director of cricket and Simon Katich as head coach.

They have retained their core group of players and brought some valuable reinforcements to the auction. The introduction of Aaron Finch with Chris Morris and Isuru Udana is likely to do wonders for the Bangalore franchise.

Among these star-star cricketers, RCB has also claimed some terrifying uncapped players who have turned their eyes around with impressive performances in domestic cricket. On that note, we take a look at the three uncapped players on the team who deserve a chance in the playing XI at some point this season.

30-year-old all-rounder from Karnataka Pawan Deshpande has been making news with his clean hitting. Deshpande has come a long way from being the highest-grossing cricketer in the Karnataka Premier League in 2019 to becoming a key member of Karnataka in the domestic circuit.

Deshpande was awarded RCB in 2018 for Rs. 20 lakhs but the bench was to be heated throughout the season. The Hessen-led management has once again played the role of an experienced all-rounder, who intends to strengthen the middle order.

Deshpande has claimed a strike rate of around 150 in the shorter format and he can also wave his hand if needed. Bangalore has Shivam Dubey, but has failed to make the move in crisis situations. Deshpande came here from here.

The Karnataka-born cricketer can hit the ball for a country mile and can be a valuable surprise element in the team.

Devdutt Padikkal has been an important center of the wheel of Karnataka in the current season. His partnership with KL Rahul at the top has reaped rich dividends in the domestic circuit, and the left-handed batsman will be one of the cricketers to watch in the 13th edition of the IPL.

Prior to IPL 2019, Royal Challengers bowled out Paddikkal. The Virat Kohli-led team faced a nightmare, though won just five of the 14 matches and Padikkal never got a chance to prove himself.

Nevertheless, the experience of sharing the dressing room with the Giants came in handy for Southeastern, who scored 609 runs as the highest run-scorer in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He continued to perform well in the domestic T20 competition, where he scored 580 runs in 12 matches at a strike rate of over 175.

The 19-year-old's superb form attracted high praise from Bangalore director Mike Hewson.

Being a local Karnataka boy (Devadatta Padikkal), this domestic season has shown the ability to move quickly. For such an outstanding season, when only 19 is too hearty for RCB, 'Mike Hewson said, as quoted by ESPN Cricinfo.

Veteran South African wicket-keeper batsman Parthiv Patel and fellow Australia's Aaron Finch could find a place in the top order for Bangalore in the upcoming edition.

Shabaj Ahmad recently made headlines by playing a 61-run stormy innings against Rajasthan, giving Bengal a crucial win. Ahmed also wants to contribute to RCB with his precise left-arm spin bowling, superb fielding and the ability to clear the ropes from massive hits.

Hailing from Haryana, the 25-year-old was tagged as an outsider in Bengal when he moved there in 2017. Two years after Rekha, Ahmed has become an important part of their line-up.

In the current Ranji Trophy, he has already played the winning knock of two matches and has been a massive success with the ball. Ahmed has also been successful in the T20, scoring at a strike-rate of 128.45 and claiming an economy rate of less than 7.

Ahmed, who is eager to play in the same team as Virat Kohli, considers it a life-changing opportunity.

'I am really excited to share the dressing room with Virat Kohli. This is a chance of a lifetime for me. If I get a chance to play in the IPL, I would just like to imitate that - contribute with bat and ball. It will help a lot in my career, 'Shahbaz told PTI.
With Pawan Negi's stock declining significantly, Ahmed's left-arm spin could come in handy for Bangalore in the 2020 season.
